Orlando science center is 207, 00 square-foot “hands-on” learning center with hundreds of interactive for all ages. You can build a bridge fire a laser, and touch an alligator all in one day. Maybe you would rather zip through the solar system and visit the planets, then become a star on the movie set.
Orlando science center has hundreds of interactive learning exhibits offering remarkable opportunity to explore, experiment, and discover.
Exhibit halls-Class Trip
• Wired science: meet the inexhaustible Dr. Dare and his creation, Frankenboy, aided by his tongue bi dextrous lab assistant, Eye-Gor.
• Teachworks- imaginary landscapes: create your own imaginary landscapes using models, simulation, computers and, of course, your brain.
• Show biz science: hand off the side of a “Tall” building, see how lighting “sets the mood”, using special effects.
• Body zone: find out what your body does to food, and what food does to your body
• Cosmic tourist – earth & beyond: take a remarkable tour of our solar system and explore the inner working of earth.
• Healthy living: this exhibit will show how bad habits, like smoking, affect a healthy body, making everything much harder to do.
• Science city: see how electricity and magnetism combine to form a powerful partnership.
• Nature works: this 7,000 square-foot exhibit presents Florida’s diverse ecosystem.
• DinoDigs: Disney’s animal kingdom has donated an assortment of dinosaur fossils and replicas to Orlando science center. Guests have the opportunity to view the fossils as part of OSC’s new permanent exhibit, DinoDigs: mysteries unearthed
Educational Programs School Tour
• Explore planetary landscapes: OSC staff will facilitate 45 minute guided tours of exhibit halls.
• Science theater in the Darden adventure.
Theater: live science theater and big-bang demonstrations come alive in the Darden adventure theater.
• Live animal show: the NatureWorks staff showcase a variety of their most popular NatureWorks residents.
• BodyZone-Do you have the Guts?: SEE real human organs! Can you match the incredible feats of strength and endurance your organs perform every day?
• Circle of life: It’s a game show for all ages! How much do you know about the fascinating world of plants and animals? Spin the wheel, answer the question and win a prize!!!
• SEM: scanning electron microscope: ever wonder what an ant’s eye looks like or what a piece of dust really is like? At an extremely close range? Now you can explore things up close during our SEM demonstrations in TechWorks located on level 4.
