Astronauts encounter – students come face-to-face with a real astronauts in a answer & question session, mission briefing, video dotage, space artifacts, and personal stories of space travel.
Bus tour- tour NASAS space shuttle facilities and the Apollo/Saturn V center
Rocket garden- take a self guided tour of the rocket garden
Mission to mars – exhibits and films detailing ongoing robotic science missions to mars
Astronaut memorial- space mirror monument o honor the astronauts lost in the name of space exploration
Early space exploration- a walk through exhibit which provides students with a comprehensive history of key missions that provided the foundation for our current space program.
Exploration in the new millennium- visitors are taken on a journey from the Vikings discoveries of Greenland and Iceland to mars Viking lander, the first U.S. probe to land on another planet in 1976. Visitors have the opportunity to see and actually touch a piece of mars, which fell to the earth as a meteorite.
International space station center- walk through full-scale mock-ups of space station modules and visit the viewing gallery, where you can see actual space station components being readied for flight.
IMAX theater- two different larger-than-life films take you an aw-inspiring journey into space on screens over five stories tall!
LC 39 observation gantry- get a birds eye view of today’s space adventures from this 60-foot observation tower.
Space shuttle plaza- imagine working aboard a real space shuttle and floating in space as you enter inside the space shuttle explorer – a full-sized replica of a NASA shuttle orbiter.
