The name is thought to be from an article in the Chicago Tribune in 1858 regarding a political rivalry with Cincinnati, Ohio. The 1920s notorious gangsters like Al Capone, is what put Chicago on the map as they battled law enforcement on the city streets during the Prohibition era. Currently, Chicago is home to The Oprah Winfrey Show on WLS-TV, taped in Harpo Studios Headquarters. It is a creative mecca for the arts, publishing and entertainment community and even has its own musical entitled "Chicago" most recently made into a movie with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Rene Zelweger. Chicago has also been home to many influential politicians, including President of the United States, Barack Obama.With such rich history and things to see and do, forget wind, Chicago will take you by storm!
